Docents Fall Training 2019 begins, September 14

Learn more about the flora, fauna, and ecology of the Santa Monica Mountains by signing up for the 2019 Topanga Canyon Docents Fall Training class at Topanga State Park.

The series, which takes place September 14 to November 23, 2019 at Trippett Ranch lodge, is taught by highly respected educators and professional naturalists from local colleges, museums and conservation-based institutions.

The 11-part training course includes (6) Saturday full day classroom training sessions that typically last six hours, alternating with (5) Sunday morning in-the-field sessions that require approximately three hours.

The training is a great way to learn more about plant and wildlife around you, and once completed, participate in Docent volunteer naturalist activities.
